Clutch & brake pedal foot pads
« on: October 05, 2011, 18:34:18 »
I have spent the last 2 hours trying to put new new foot pads on the clutch and brake pedals on my 64 230SL. I have sprayed them with wd 40 to make them more pliable but I have not had much luck.  Anybody out there have any trade secrets they would like to share with me.   Thank you !!!!

Apparently a common problem with the new rubber pads!
Immerse them in boiled water to soften them up then quickly get them in place. Perhaps try some silicon grease or spray too.
