I have just bought a RHD UK 230SL requiring some work which was registered in 1966 with a registered mileage of 69,000. There is no service book with the car but I have a lot of history in the form of bills and MOT certificates dating back to 1979 when the mileage was 40,011. Prior to this there were 3 keepers but I have no more mileage information or owner details. I would guess that the 40,000 miles covered in 13 years by 3 owners is credible but before I start spending Pagoda money does anyone know how I can get the cars early history to confirm my assumptions?
