Zertifikat ?

Is there anybody out there that would be kind enough to take a picture of there Zertifikat and post it for us newbee's
Some folks have posted there actual data cards, (which is very helpful), but it would be interesting to see the difference.
Thanks for all your input, I'm learning alot.

 I am also curious about the "Birth Certificate". As I said in some other post, I was told just recently by the Irvine Classic Center, That Mercedes had stopped the program. Have you talked to someone at MB telling you otherwise? Also, did you get the pictures of my engine bay that you requested?

From what I recall (I hope I am right and not spreading dis-information), the 'Zertificat' was a more fancy, paid version of the good old data card. If the data card is still being supplied free of charge, I can see how not too many owners would want to pay for a more fancy version and MB would stop this program.

As of the end of 2010, Mercedes-Benz Classic will discontinue the practice of issuing certificates for Mercedes-Benz vehicles since this product was no longer in conformity with the current market situation.
Mercedes-Benz Classic is offering owners of historic Mercedes-Benz automobiles who would like certification of their vehicles’ current condition the option of a manufacturer appraisal.
In addition, copies of vehicle data cards documenting the delivery condition of the respective vehicle may still be ordered on site at our Mercedes-Benz operations upon proof of ownership.

Classic Zertifikat Program
    Read your post and have to say that the temporary cancelling of this program is actually being done in the interest of you the collector!

    It is unfortunate, but some (dealer) sellers and sadly owners of classic MB's have misused the certificate to modify vehicles into something they clearly are not. A good example of this would be 'creating' a matching numbers vehicle from one that isn't or even creating an entire (!) vehicle from a heap of parts.

    We recognize the value of the Zertifikat program and are committed to coming up with a revised program which serves the collector crowd with genuine vehicles.

    By the way, parts prices do go up, but many times they go down, just like the value of your classic car!
Mercedes-Benz, especially in it's 125th year, is doing better than ever and we appreciate the loyal owners of our products! We're just trying to protect what is real!

Now if you really must have one then go on the web, download one of those fancy  "diploma" or "certificate" or similar blanks and fill in whatever you like and suits your taste or impresses your competitor.

As of 11-3-11, I downloaded a official application (not a blank zertifikat) from MBCC, Irvine Ca. and sent them my info and $125 US for the Zertifikat. Apparently they have come up with a revised program!

Time to "eat crow" (66and blue) is correct! I received a call from a supervisor from MB Classic Cars today. The Zertifikat is not available at this time.
She said when they come up with something, they would let me know.
