Chrome wheel well molding

I know that the 230SL in the Mercedes Benz museum (and on the left corner of our website pages) has chrome wheel well molding.   I have never seen another Pagoda with the identical wheel well trim.  Did Mercedes itself ever offer this as an option?   I have seen a number of Pagoda's with similar trim, but the ones on those cars are much thicker than the one in the museum and are made by aftermarket companies and are no where near as elegant.   If they were offered, over what time frame?

These were not offered from the factory, and yes you see them from time to time (right Michael.....?). They were not on the option sheet.

Yep!  You see them from time to time. Sort of makes your 113 look like a Buick.  Not for everybody to be sure.  Truth be told, I have them on my 113.  I'm starting to get used to it.
