What is the best service manual to get for a 69 280SL US model?

Does anyone have any for sale? If so, please PM me the details.

Hello Bob,
your best bet is the Mercedes Service Manual for passenger cars starting in 1968.  However,  many procedures described in the manual before (starting 1959) are not repeated so it is best to have both.

They come up quite frequently on eBay, the 1968 more so than the earlier one.
An of course quite a bit of info is in our own technical manual - just browse around.
