Any thoughts on swaping a 93-94 3.2 inline six engine into a 69 280s?.

Should be an interesting project. Lots more hp and fairly simple/ easy to work on. About the same size also.

Why would you to that to a classic car ?
No offence, I just don't get why...

I mean if you want performance you wouldn't buy a Pagoda in the first place and I wouldn't think that the economy will be any better ?

I understand people putting 300TD engines in classic saloons as daily drivers due to reliability and economy but with a Pagoda I don't understand although I would like to know just in case I am missing something...

People have complained about me using my 1985 300TD to haul car parts around.   Different strokes for different folks.  I think that being a slave to originality is over-rated.  Having said that, I greatly prefer the original look.  And I really dislike aftermarket radios.  But if it's under the hood and I can't see it, I don't care.

I like the idea
let us know when it is done
my thought is it may be too  powerful, I used to drive a 300E and now drive a 300SE, a lot of power in that engine!
