Pagoda's not allowed outside
« on: February 12, 2012, 11:42:45 »

Because of the cold weather we've had in Holland these last two weeks, my car is not seeing much outside use. This is what happens when the rivers and canals are frozen over: at least half the population of the Netherlands dons skates and goes skating...

This is a link to a picture of ice-skating on the Canals in Amsterdam.

Peter, don't know if you have ever been to Ottawa in winter but they have the "longest rink in the world" or at least that is what they claim.  Ottawa is the second coldest capital in the winter after Moscow.

I see from your pictures both in Amsterdam and Ottawa you even skate on the wrong side of the road, poor fellows.
