Need to find a supplier for some hoses for my 280
« on: October 27, 2012, 23:30:54 »
I am looking for the hose that goes from the valve cover to the air filter housing. I have the right angle pipe that goes on the valve cover, but need the hose and coupling that goes into the air filter housing.
Also, there are three hoses that are off of the water pump. The 1st one connects to a Y pipe connecting the 2nd. and 3rd hose. I think these hoses connects to the over flow tank and the air filter housing. Are these 3 short hoses formed or do I just cut from one smaller radiator hose? They look formed to me. The last hose is the one that connects from the diverter from the lower radiator hose to the heater. This hose appears to be formed and about 15-18 inches.
I have checked with Autohaus and they do not show any of the above 5 hoses.
Thanks......ncsurfer

Have you checked with the Classic Center?  It would help if you had part numbers or a diagram/photo showing which exact hoses you are looking for.  Tom at the Classic Center is also pretty good at determining which part it is based on a detailed description.

One of the best parts resources around is the Electronic Parts Catalog, which is free if you have a credit card with a US address.

Thanks, but EPCnet does not support MAC, only PC, so I can't see the parts list.

Even you can go to a Mercedes dealer near you, if you know the part numbers.  I got all my hoses from Mercedes, they even come with the MB star stamped on them (if you are to show the car).  Here is the listing:
1. Hose from value cover to air filter housing - part # 129 016 00 30 Pipe/Tube. (note: this tube is connected to air filter housing with 180 997 10 82 Rubber Hose 35MM long)
2. Three hoses at "Y" pipe - part # 9002271012024, Rubber Hose, from intake pipe to intake muffler.  Order by the meter.
                                    - part # 114 203 01 82, water connection to throttle housing
                                    - part # 108 831 03 94, Hose, water connection at water pump (this is a special hose that is tapered- one end is larger in diameter then the other end)

As for the other hose " The last hose is the one that connects from the diverter from the lower radiator hose to the heater. This hose appears to be formed and about 15-18 inches", don't know what hose you are talking about.  Could you be more specific as to location of hose.  I do not recall a hose from the lower radiator to the "diverter"?  Do you mean to the water pump?  There is a lower radiator hose to the water pump housing.  Let me know.

Thanks for your reply. I tried to post pics of the 3 hoses, but the file was too large. I can send it to your email if you like.
