new fuel lines

Ok, so I finally got my new fuel lines, and the box looked kinda small.  Oh no, I've got to bend them myself!  Does anyone have any successful experience doing this?

You can get a spring like devise that plumbers use to bend flexible copper tubing without kinking them  Ace , True value or similar hardware stores should have it.

The second trick would be to fill the tube with sand or something grain like  and cap the ends with some tape, this will allow the tube to bend without kinking as well.

Thanks Guys.  It's done.  Cheap tubing bender from the local store and brute force where needed!

Dave did you get these fuel lines from MB/Classic Center?  You mean they are not already bent?  Don't sound right.

I got them from Bud's Benz in GA.  "Sure we got 'em, we make them up right here in our shop with the ends on there and everything".  They have a different idea than I did of what that meant.  The drawing they supplied showed them bent.  It was probably a MB line drawing.  $95 each vs. $340 each.  Could be worse. The car runs and I'm happy.

I replaced the fuel lines, running from the fuel pump to the engine compartment and back. The old ones were rusty and dirty. I used large brake pipes from Pep Boys. U used the originals and bend the pipes by hand on the edge of the workbench. They came out pretty will if I do say so myself.

How did you get the ends to fit, and what about the knurl on the end.  It wasn't like any flare I've ever seen

The supply lines or the injection lines? I referred to the supply lines, maybe I was wrong.
