Fan clutch not desengaging early enough?
« on: December 17, 2012, 19:37:45 »
Hi all,

I have replaced the fan clutch by a new one some time ago as the car was overheating in summer traffic: I did the rolled magazine test and the fan clutch was not engaging anymore, so it was time for a new one.

The problem I have NOW with this new fan clutch is that it seems to not desengage early enough in the rpms. As a result I have a terrible fan noise (like a fully loaded Mack truck taking off from a traffic light) in 1st and 2nd and the clutch seems to desingage in third after a while. Is there a way to adjust it in a way that it desengages at lower rpm, as it should be?

Thanks for the help !
