Bosch Switching Unit
« on: November 05, 2012, 17:09:15 »
I'm trying to locate a supplier who carries the Bosh Switching Unit that is mounted under the battery.  The part # is 0227051015.  Does anyone know where I can locate one?  Thanks!

Nate,
you can buy it directly from Mercedes (p/n 000 545 41 32) - but you better sit down and take a sedative before listening to the price!  :o

Or you can send your core to AutohausAZ and get a refurbished one for about 15% of the MB price:

A good case for a Pertronix, Crane or 123!!!  Ouch, even at the rebuilt price.

It was  common unit used on Mercedes six cylinder sedans of the era.  One of these along with an electric fuel pump are nice items to keep on hand as spares.
