;D at first, I thought it was a real car, one of those that look and often are "better than new", so I started to imagine that it would be offered at 150,000 Euro or more….. then…. I realized how the proportions are between the car and the stones behind, so I almost felt relieved…

Good Xmas present though, and I believe this should easily go for…. 45-60 Euro ;D ;D ;D.
Having seen the website of the model maker, I think that the model may actually compete with some cheaper real pagodas on the market ;)

On a LHD car, what side of the trunk does the spare wheel sit?

I always thought that on the early 230s it was "vertical" on the left in ALL cars and thereafter it was "horizontal" on the right in ALL cars. I ask as looking over this model on Saturday I am sure the spare was horizontal but on the drivers side.

Put me right off buying it, I can tell you ::)

James,

to my knowledge, the spare was always on the right side, regardless of the cat being RHD or LHD. If the model had it placed otherwise, then this would be a model to be shown in our Research&Development chapter :)
As for the pockets, the hard ones were offered on 230 an 250 I believe and at some points they switched to the soft map pockets on all 280 Pagodas. Somebody was once saying that the hard ones remained as an option but I doubt it.

It is very well explained in our Technical Manual http://www.sl113.org/wiki/Interior/DoorTrim

as for putting me right off buying it…. well… you can look at it as a lost opportunity to become an owner of a spotless model at the price of a rusty, full of flaws, badly restored full size Pagoda :D

European cars do have hard pockets. in the US we decided that was not good enough for us so we put a bag with a rubber band instead. :D
