I just received my January 2013  issue, and there is a "scary" rust project going on with the 230sl featured. It makes each of wonder if our vehicle will ever need such a fix.   I would sell the car for parts if this happened to my car.. The article mentions future continuation of the restoration project in future issues- They list 888-333-0436 as the phone where to order the issue of the magazine.  autorestorermagazine.com

rmmchl,

this is a rational position you just presented, but in the case of emotions and personal rapport, this is not negotiable. Besides, I noticed that some people see value what other don't.

I think that most of us come to a similar conclusion like you. In fact. if we were to add up money, time and attention spent on mere maintenance efforts, would come to a conclusion that owning a vintage car makes no economic sense.

Let's keep believing that our satisfaction, sense of accomplishment and even pride are worth the craze related to keeping our lovely Pagodas in good shape  ;)
