The sad part of all this great increase in prices for our cars is that it comes with a sting in the tail.  The spares parts vendors will increase their prices accordingly so if you are a long term keeper and restoring, it is not really good news at all. :'( :'(

Yes, it was "as-new" inside & out. Tobacco/Cognac MB Tex

The Tobacco car at Goodings was sold at no reserve by Driver Source, here in Houston.  I think they had the car at $79K about 2 or 3 months before taking it to the auction and I had several opportunities to look at the car closely.  The car was very nice with no real issues.  I had suggested that the car would sell in the $70's.  Which just goes to show you what I know about Pagoda values.  I believe Goodings projected the car to sell between $80K and $105K.  I believe it hammered at $100K plus 10% buyer's premium.

I think this demonstrates that "nice" cars are going up in value, but in the end, the true value of a car is determined when the amount of money someone is willing to sell a car for equals the amount of money someone is willing to pay for it.
