option codes?

Hello All, what and where are option codes found? cos my 280sl
has aircon I would like to know where to find these codes?
and what my car had when it left the factory? I now know it
is the original color and had left the factory with floor change auto
PAS and manual antenna but did it have a becker europa which it has
now? also what should the engine number be?

Hey Red.

What you need to do is locate your car's Data Card. Each 113 had its own card with all the details of that particular car. If it is not with the paperwork you have (or in the glove box!), you will need to contact MBZ. If you do a search for Data Card on this website you will get the contact info. It's easy and free and usually only takes a couple hours to get faxed over.

Once you get it -- you will have lots of questions about what it all means! Let us know at that point and we can all pitch in... Good luck.

Your Mercedes has "aircon"? Are you talking about an air conditioner? If that is the case, the A/C units were installed at the dealer as an aftermarket kit. They were designed for the W113.
