Spring has sprung
« on: April 15, 2013, 18:46:21 »
We hadn't driven our SL for 5 weeks and yesterday we decided to get the car back out on the road. Started on the first crank and we were off. Temp was in the mid 70s and was really a beautiful day for a drive up here in the foothills. The vineyards are just starting to leaf out and the California Poppies are in full bloom. Put nearly another 100 miles on the odometer and the car ran without any problems. One thing that I realized lately is how easy these cars are to drive. No SATNAV or flat screens to distract, the horn ring is easy to find for those occasional toots going through a tunnel or under a bridge (which cause my navigator to nearly jump out of her seat:-), heater/vent controls easy to operate and excellent visibility. A real joy to drive!

Thanks Gerster, these cars are so photogenic, it is hard to take a bad picture of them :)
