I have a small leak in the power steering pump located towards the front of engine , has anyone attempted to rebuild it themselves or should I buy a new one and if so any suggestions on where to purchase one - Thanks

It's an easy fix, once you have the pump out of the car take it to a place that they can get the pulley out (if you don't have a good pulley puller) after the pulley is out is a 15 minute job, the oil seal and two O-rings are not expensive.

Hi,
I had the same leak from steering pump. A drop every 2 seconds when car is running. Bought a seal kit, not expensive and done the job in about 30 min. But I did not take the pump out. Just from under car. First loosen up the nut holding the arm. Pull arm out with puller. Quite easy no force needed and remember to mark position before loosen. Unscrew the bolts six or eight of those cannot remember which holds the under plate and pull it out carefully. I changed just those rubber seals around.  Before putting everything back together I used the red gasket sealing for en extra seal just in case and bolted everything back togeter. Job done and no leaks any more.
