Apparently this was inspired by a misadventure one of our group member went through: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w126-s-se-sec-sel-sd/1744242-alabbasi.html#post6091682

I was told back in the 70's (from Mercedes mechanics)when I purchased my first M/B  W115 220D,
That reason they lost the war was that they never put grease fittings on the ball joints of their equipment.

That is a riot, this guy really knows how to write.  I laughed out loud to the CLA AMG line.
Thanks!

Oooooh, that's nasty. He's a great one for the darwin awards. Google that if you don't know what that is.

I really hope that last one is faked.  I've never been one to even laugh at people doing stupid things and hurting themselves.  In addition, I think practical jokes are cruel.

PS:  The first two are hilarious.  What movie was the video part exerpted from?

Apparently late 1966 230SL 4-spd manual (Italian Version)
Owned since 1987 and wrapping up a full rotisserie restoration/modernization.
Was: Papyrus White 717G with Turquoise MBtex 112 and Kinderseat
Is: Dark Blue 332G with Dark Blue Leather (5300, I think)
