Screws and bolts for fresh air cowl and flaps
« on: May 26, 2013, 23:13:26 »
Does anyone know the current MB part number for the screws, bolts and washers used in the fresh air vent cowl assembly and flap (or alternatively the original specifications so I can seek out an alternative)?

Specifically I'm referring to:

- the screws that attach the chrome grille
- the four screws attaching the cowl (incl the two near each wiper)
- the screws at the back that the rear of the cowl slot into under the windscreen
- the small bolts/ washers attaching the flap to the hinges

Many thanks,

David

I use counter sunk philips screws in stainless when I can find them.

David,
the part numbers correspond to the numbers in the photo below:
1. p/n 0007981 003226 / 4 each / oval head sheet metal screw
2. p/n 0007981 003225 / 2 each / oval head sheet metal screw
3. p/n 0007982 003215 / 2 each / countersunk sheet metal screw
4. p/n 0007983 004202 / 3 each / oval head countersunk sheet metal screw / chrome

You can order them from the same source together with the interior insulation pad.
{btw, are you in British Columbia or in the UK??)
