By the way, my fuel gauge has collapsed suddenly and sits at empty without the reserve light coming on. Please advise on the steps to rectify the problem.

Make sure your fuel sending unit located inside the floor of your trunk works, check the fuse first, then you can take out the unit for visual inspection.

Thanks for your advice. It saved a lot of trouble as I checked the fuse first. Changed the fuse and the gauge sprang to life.
