Here is an Interesting story and photos about a 280 SL

As the subject highlights ... have a glass of wine (men are allowed 2 glasses and ladies one ~ according to my doctor ~grin~), and have a read about this nice automobile :)

EDIT; It was published some years ago, I wonder if any one here purchased this fine specimens? If your car is red and the VIN number matches then you are the one :)

Some weeks ago I came across this restored graduation gift story in the Canadian "Globe and Mail" it's worth sharing here with everyone unless you seen it. It's a nice read.

Peter,

Thanks a lot for sharing these two great stories with us. While it is too early for wine for me here, I will no doubt come back to your post later with due quantity of the prescribed liquid and contemplate once more both the text and pictures.

No mater what, I realize that owning a Pagoda does not prevent you from looking at other Pagodas with pleasure and enjoyment... Reminds of something else ;D??? Ok. Same here...

Thanks for letting me know ... I just found it to be a fascinating story about Doug Dees and his son's belated graduation gift.

I hope others that have not seen the story in the Toronto paper "Globe and Mail" enjoyed the story as much as I did.
