Definitive 113 Car Cover List

The market for 113 Covers is somewhat limited; vast majority provide the Kimberly Clark (KC) synthetic woven/bonded fabric, which offers very good dust protection and protection from elements (ie, car port or drafty older garage); however over time they trap dirt and stiffen, and trap condensation (even though they say they dont).

One note: many offer the KC fabric from $225-250, while Adsit has the same KC fabric (250) at the best price at $99.

If your garage is well sealed and heated you may want the Tan Flannel or Cali 100% Cotton.

-I would recommend the Classic Tan Flannel made by Covercraft, its $250-290...but worth it. It washes well and just gets softer.  Its very thick, has the softest inside of any cover made today.

-The FormFit or 'Spandex" style covers are nice too but are very tight fits by design and some may not like rubbing on paint or chrome.

-As a budget option the Poly-Cotton Coverctraft is a non-bonded/non-woven synthetic fabric (eg, not KC); its Cotton/Poly..like a thin sweatshirt and is OK for $150

I just bought the SLS First Class cover....very nice

Kayvan,

Well done.  Can you advise if the cover you bought is for Outdoor use?  The SLS site doesn't seem to explain if it's for indoor or outdoor.  I may be missing something but can't seem to figure out if its okay outdoor use also.

Would appreciate your help since you've obviously figured out the details.

Thanks

My cover came from California Car Cover Co.  Their Superweave" @ $245.99.  Ultimate All-Weatherprotection.  I think best on market for all-weather use.  Comes in 8 colors and is super lightweight.  Can be customed to fit a W113 with only driver's side mirror, or driver and passenger side mirror, and can be two tone color.

I did try the M-B Classic Center cover, it has two pockets for mirrors on both sides.  My SL only has driver's side mirror.  Also the M-B cover does have the star and M-B logos stitched on it, but the cover it self feels like paper, and lonl comes in gray.

I bought the MC Classic Cover. I love it. It is light weight but, the fabric allows it to breathe, even if the car is wet. Having said that, I store my car inside. I couldn't imagine putting the cover on the car while wet. My car never sees rain.

I guess this thread proves that the selection of covers depends on storage conditions and personal preference. There are as many different covers as there are Pagoda colors.

Is it tan with soft underling? My dad had purchased a cover very similar to what your tell us.
I store it in the trunk and use an  old Costo car cover with a sheet of plastic in between.
