Headlight Clips
« on: October 08, 2013, 18:01:19 »
In process of assembling 230 sl (1967) need the little brackets that hold the lower headlight bezel to the frame.
They have two holes to accept sheet metal screws to attach to fender bucket. The headlight bezel attaches to the bracket
by a bolt that goes into a nut that slides back and forth.
I have attached from the parts book the pieces (2) that I need. It is number 84.

I  think I know what you are talking about, the clip screws on the top of the headlight bucket used to align the headlight in position
so the bottom screw can tighten the  American headlight assembly. I think I lost mine when my car was having some front end work and I asked to have the Bosch  European lights put in. Iin the process, I don't remember if I got them back. I hope you find them. I would like to buy a set myself.

When I restored my 250 California Coupe (German delivery), I returned to the Bosch headlamps the car was delivered with (according to the data card), removing the U.S. style. Being a pack rat, I saved everything including those headlight clips, so I have three clips: two used and one NOS. I would be happy to send them to you, gratis (buy me a beer someday!) Send me your mailing address if interested.

BTW, the numbers for the clips are:  M-B - 113 826 00 12; Bosch - 1 301 329 025

I happen to be searching for the two chrome plated brass screws (Size M4) that go in these clips if you happen to come across them!
