Early Brake Booster and Master Cylinder
« on: November 16, 2013, 11:24:19 »
Hello,

Thanks to this forum I found out that the car I have has the wrong brake booster installed.  Because the brakes stayed engaged while the engine is running a previous post indicated that it was the wrong part. If I shut then engine down the brake pedal rises back up and seems to work properly.  I verified this by disconnecting the vacuum line and went for a ride with manual brakes which worked fine. I still have the early 1 master cylinder which is now not available. So, If I install a new style master cylinder will this solve my problem?  The master cylinder is less expensive than a booster. Has anyone had experience with this?  Thanks in Advance

Mitch

You may care to list your year and model of your Pagoda in your signature making it easier for others to give some advice.
