WRD Plunger Assembly
« on: February 26, 2014, 03:13:51 »
After extracting the air valve from the WRD, I disassembled the plunger and found four pieces as follows: pin, spring, a retainer piece and c-clip. I am in the process of assembling the air valve and the plunger along with the spring. My question: Would the spring have to be compressed before assembling the plunger in the WRD? If so, what make the spring retained in position on the pin? Are there more pieces to the four I found? The manual has a picture of the spring compressed and that raised my curiosity, but it is not clear how these pieces put together. Is the retainer clip goes at the bottom of the spring or at the top? I wonder if anyone came across the disassembly and assembly of the plunger. Thank you.

Jeff   : Thank you for the schematics, they are in the manual. However, it is not clear how the spring is kept compressed on the pin? I noticed a retainer looks like a straw hat with a half spherical bowl. It is not clear if the retainer sits below the spring with the bowl pointing up or down. Also, how the retainer stays on the pin, perhaps by a c-clip. Is another c-clip required at the top of the pin above the plunger? The schematics are not exploded enough to answer these questions. We need the experience of someone had disassembled and assembled the plunger.  Zack.
