Hi,

Can anyone tell me which model is this radio?
Can you guys tell me if it was usual a Blaupunkt radio instead  a Becker one.

Blaupunkt radios were commonly installed by the selling Dealers, especially in the USA.  My 250sl has a Blaupunkt as well.

It's probably a "Frankfurt" but they called lots of things "Frankfurt".  It should be easy to replace it with a Becker (if you find one you like) as your car has the large size standard DIN opening in the dash.  Cars from the factory had Beckers, cars with dealer-installed usually had Blaupunkt.   I'm not sure if anyone besides Becker and Blaupunkt made the pinstripe them radios plus the knobs that match the rest of the car knobs...

Have you checked your datacard?
There can you find out if your car was delivered with a radio and type of radio. You can also find out about if the car had an antena from the factory and if the antenna was manual or automatic!

From option 500 and down is about raidios and antennas

You are correct. Its not the original radio, 515 indicates that the car originaly had a Becker AM FM.
I will check your question regarding dealer code later to night.

Hi agin,
I have checked and usualy there are 8 digits on my car I have for example 07044258
0 means that the car vwas orderd by the dealer 1970
704 US Dealer
The four last digits is just a sequential numbering according to this topic. http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=18613.0

Your card starts with the country number 705 and not the order year.
I cant find anything about this. Maybe the car was built with out an order and in fact the number should have been -7050558 ?

Thanks Lars. I also have the data card from Kienle after the car restauration. I believe that the first 3 numbers ( 200)  in auftr,  means that was fabric orders. I am not sure but would like someone to explain me.
