While in Williamsburg, VA this past September, not only did I shoot some of the nice cars that were there I also took a few photos with my iPhone of some of the interesting changes additions I saw. While the photos are self explanatory I shall add a few comments to each post of 4 or more.

The first 4 Photos are a) the poster from the P-50 and three different rear speaker arrangements.

Addition of a Speed-control Arrangement, I think there is a detail write up in the Technical Magazine if I am not mistaken.

Three point seatbelt arrangements, again I saw details in the Technical Manual as to how to install them. I will leave mine as they came from the factory.

Tools and Stuff;

Great idea to always carry some extra tools, one never knows when one of them nuts get loose :) On my way home it was raining most of the time so my windshield wiper worked a bit over time. As a result my passenger side windshield wiper went on strike.  Luckily I carried the right metric wrenches in a makeshift tool kit (not as nice as displayed in those photos) and I was able to correct the situation in one of the rest-areas along the way :)

There are some unique ways to attach attend tool storage and first aid kits also there is a trouble light that I learned can be connected just below the fire wall near the break drum should one get stranded at night.

Safety and preparing for the unexpected is always a good idea when we go on a longer trip with our cars.

Most of the fellows had there engines exposed and rightly so they were well looked after. In my case I kept my hood (bonnet) closed since much more work is needed before I dare to display it. This time of year is the right time to do some work if I find the time :)

Finally some handy items ... a nice basket on the dash, reminded me of my first ever new car a VW Beetle that had a flower vase on the dash :)

A windscreen (the only one I saw) I guess the rest of us is like me, I like to feel the wind in my hair :)

The picture I took of the price list when our cars came on the market I found very interesting.

And finally I brought along three little flags;

The German one, since it was the starting point of our little car.
The Canadian one, since that is where I came from.
The American one, to thank our host for having us at this P-50 Event.

Anyway, I wanted to share those photos with you here … the pictures are not the best quality to be sure, then it's much easier to carry the tiny iPhone. I find that my iPhone takes as good a picture then the digital camera I have.

RD,

That photo of the interior is interesting in that the Air Conditioning Unit is really set up for a RHD car with the controls on the RHD side if it was in a RHD car as the controls would then be in the centre of the car ???

Garry,

I cannot tell the difference, you seam to have sharp eyes :) My car also had a/c when it was registered in Florida. It was removed during the restoration work done in Canada in 1990 the only evidence I can see is from the access hole in the firewall and the compressor/pump that I now removed. I prefer mother natures fresh air, mind you if I would live in Arizona that would be a different matter.

I think I explained it poorly,

The two control nobs are in front of the passenger, with a blank plate for the brand name in the centre. Maybe they should be in the left hand blank plate for a left hand drive thus above the centre console and the name plate would then be the blank plate in front of the passenger.
