Does anyone know if MBZ color code DB274 was offered in the calendar year 1970?

The Technical Manual is a bit handy. But it doesn't look like 274 is there, unless I am missing something

What colour is 274?

DB274 is hellgrun or light green metallic.
It was used on the 190SL but I don't believe it was available on 113s.

Is this the color?  The photo is from the current issue of MBCA's The Star magazine.

274 is indeed a 190SL color and was not offered for 280SLs.   However, I am interested to find out if the color was used for other MBZ models in 1970.   My original color is 396 (Medium Blue Metallic), but the car was painted a color like 274 (think celery) in the 1970s.   I'm considering an engine out paint job and debating whether we put the car back to its original color (better for value) or keep it light green (our preference).   We don't have any plans to sell the car and we drive it regularly, so we are leaning towards keeping it light green but using a proper MBZ color (274).   It would be ideal if this color was offered in 1970.   Thoughts?

Marc Lewis, the picture you posted is Lime Green.   274 is more of a light metallic green.

It is my understanding that you can have a car  special ordered in and paint color the has already been painted by MB factory in previously to the year you are ordering your car.

Thus you could order a [W186 Mercedes Adenauer in 171 Steingrau (Stone Grey)] on a 113 .
