Looking to change the "BLACK" brake fluid - any help and guidance.

Go to this site and build one of these http://www.bmw-m.net/TechProc/bleeder.htm  your life will be easier. Use DOT 3 or 4 but not the silicone DOT 5. If you have a standard tranny then you should also change the hydraulic cluth fluid also. Suck all the old fluid out of the master cylinder first with a turkey baster or Mity Vac. Carefull as brake fluid removes paint, clean up any spills immediatly. Hook up your power bleeder and have at it.It is easy and should be done at least every 5 years if not more. Once you have your power bleeder it is fun and easy. I change mine every 2 years now in my 230SL and at least once a year in my 406. Check the archives for more info, especially for the clutch as there are some tricks to that.
