Air Intake Pipe

The rubber air intake pipe on my 65 model 230SL seems to short its a 162mm long  part number 189 094 00 82,its the correct one
 according to the parts manual  ???  any ideas. Thanks. Mike.

its a new pipe from the main agent, it is to short to fit between the filter can and the throttle body, its about 2cm short
is there a longer one for the 230.Cheers .Mike.

Hi, Mike,
I think you have been supplied the pipe for later cars with heater pipes collar on the throttle body.
You need the one for early cars. Sorry, can't look up the part # just now. Maybe Monday

Thanks Naj,spot on, my parts book is showing the heater pipes and the book is from January 67,my car was made in April 65
