new wheel skin steering wheel cover installed
« on: May 10, 2018, 15:09:22 »
hi,
I have my steering wheel of due to other work on the car so I decided to install a new wheel skins cover.
using 2 spring clamps i was able to secure the initial stitches and then as i moved around the wheel  every 6 to 8 stitches I used a fork to tighten the stitches and then secure with the other clamp.

the whole process took maybe an hour.

I also went back and blind stitched the rear of the wheel.  (see photo)
it looks nice with my newly recovered horn pad

I did mine on the car with no special tools.  Great product.  Been on the car for 10 years now with no issues.
