It could be the rod that screws into the end of the clutch slave cylinder? Sure someone with better knowledge will chime in here.

Ah, what about the rod the screws into the firewall on the inside that the accelerator pedal stop on?

If you don't find what it is, ask the workshop who did the plating if someone complained he was missing a part. They often mix up stuff, and someone may be looking for it.

Is it metric?

thanks again , the floor was replaced so there is no bolt hole  and my pre resto my photos dont show the area im afraid

BTw yes its metric , and yes i guess it could be someone elses missing part , but i had it all plated 3 years ago so cant check.

Thanks again for your help

If you have replaced you floor you should have the hole that I am referring too. If you pin has that taper on the Dave is definitely nailed it.

This may be too much information, but for the true parts geek:

The PN for the accelerator stop is N 00084 0008220.  An N number means that it is a generic part specified in the DIN und Normteile book.  This number is in the book as a "cyl[inder] head screw" M8 x 50 mm, exactly as shown in the picture.

Good call, Andy.

Cheers,
