any suggestions for a coating for aluminum parts like the brake booster bracket and oil filter cannister? Apparently the original finish has dulled and gets that white corrosion buildup easily. Would a clear flat lacquer from a spray can work? Also would like suggestion for a undercoat spray that resembles the orginal slightly bumpy surface.

I applied heat resistant coatings to my valve cover and intake manifold and it has yellowed over time. Maybe the brake booster bracket will not get hot enough to yellow. Eastwood sells the correct coating for this.
