Pagoda vs. new MBs

I just browsed some newer MB brochures picked from the local dealer and did a simple comparison between our loved Pagodas and the specs for the newer MBs. Basically nothing new, just fancy names...

Pagoda equipment:
Analogue clock – Standard
Ambient lighting – Standard. Under dashboard
Blind Spot Assist – See picture with rear below. Optional equipped on my car
Collision Prevention Assist – Yelling passenger. Optional
Collision Mitigation – Dual-circuit brake system. Standard
Distronic – Passenger yelling ”Don’t be so close!”. Optional
Distronic Plus – Another one in kinder seat. Optional
Active Brake Assist – The so called Emergency Brake. Standard
Active Lane-Keeping Assist – You have to bring yourselves
Magic Vision Control – The multifunction switch. Standard
Steering Pilot – No, why?
Surround Sound System – Absolutely standard
Easy-Pack – Standard. Just throw the bag behind the seats
Speedshift Plus – Standard. The lever on the transmission tunnel
Magic Sky Control – Standard. The levers above the sunvisors and behind left seat
Live Traffic Information – Yes, keep awake and use your eyes
360 visibility – Yes, just turn your head, no obstacles
Active Body Control – Standard. The famous rear axle suspension
Pre-Safe – Standard. Upholstered dashboard and steering wheel hub
Pre-Safe Plus – Standard on newer Pagodas with upgraded steering column
Keyless Go – Should never happen. Don’t leave home without them
Closing aid for doors – Standard on passenger door
Hands-free Access – Standard.  Clutch, brake and throttle pedals
Garmin NAVI – Optional and portable. See picture
Command Online – Use your tablet or smartphone instead, it's better

Anything else?  :P

Hi Johan,

Sometimes I'm thinking why on earth do we need all this stuff when we drive our DD. I take my best friend (Charlie) along sometime, she barks if traffic gets too close and pretends she is a better navigator then my Garmin NAVI :) (see picture).

I'm reminded when Jeremy Clarkson of Top gear took a 280sl for a test drive and said .... "and the car doesn't come with much to go wrong with in the first place" I thought that was cool.
