Very, very nice. What countries licence plates do you have on the car?

Hello.
they are the original export plates from stugghart to USA. I have the original shipping paperwork and insurance paperwork at time off export to USA for the original one owner. I also have paper work stating that the arial was first fitted on drivers side rear wing.

Morning everyone. Now you have seen some pictures of this and know about all the options this car and its history, Also how rare and unique it is. I am now need help with some answers please. Ok here goes, The car is not concours  but in fact extremely very clean and tidy presenting very well as you can see in the pictures and most importantly it is still one owner car and original. The chassic is also absolutely perfect free from rust and 100% original.  If i was to have paint  correction done on the car ie removing those swirl marks and  any scratches  and few little dings removed, Also having the engine bay cleaned  from dust and detailed would i be jeopodising its originality ? So please post your answers for me. Do i leave alone or do i do it ? Basically i do not want to  harm its value and originality.

Sorry forgot to mention has anyone had dealings with sportscarprotection.com This is the company who would be doing it. They have very huge reputation, They look after cars at Brookelands Mercedes and also looks after Chris Evans cars etc.

Thanks

I dont think getting it professionally cleaned is going to alter the value of the car.

If it is one owner, then I am taking it you are the one owner.  I note it has a red emergency flasher switch in the dash, Mine, like yours, was a German delivery for export but I didnt think they added the emergency switch until later iin the production run. Did you add it?  Also it has painted sills and I didn’t think MB delivered any cars with the sills body colour ??? If this is so then touching the paint work will not alter its value if it has already been repainted.

Hi Garry
yes correct car was delivered for export to USA and emergency flasher is indeed original. If you read posting from beginning you will find out more about the car. Yes indeed car is one owner and stored now here in UK and insured under chassis no as not going to register car at moment. As for the seals they are not painted body color, Pictures can play tricks on our eyes lol. Thanks thou for your comments.

I don't believe that a cleaning of any type will jeopardize originality unless they go too far and wear off any paint/decals etc. My car didn't have swirl marks like yours but instead was very dull from lack of attention. I had it "wet-sanded" and buffed after having a local competent dent-removal shop take out 17 "dings". I did have a second pagoda for a while that needed a full repaint. In the end, I was nervous driving/parking/leaving the freshly painted car. For me, since the paint on the car could refurbished, I am pleased that I didn't paint this one.

This stated, I realize that the lighter colors are more forgiving.
