Firewall pad, Aldridge Trimming, UK
« on: December 03, 2014, 07:41:03 »
Hi, I am looking at replacing my firewall pad.  I have been given a reference for an American company but have seen a RHD one on Ebay from Aldrige trimming in the UK for what seems a very reasonable price.  I have tried to contact them through ebay to ask whether the pad has the original diamond pattern however for some reason I can't get through the ebay contact the seller system which is very frustrating. Has anyone used one of these, from Aldrige trimming, and are they ok? According to the ebay auction they have sold 70 of these so some member should be able to comment?

Hi Paul, thanks for your offer I might take you up on it. I did try their website and left a message but got a reply back saying their email system was full! If i can't think of anything else i might ring them although i would love to hear from someone who has used one of their pads.  The cutouts in the photo all look correct.

Simon of Altdridge Trimming has since told me these do not have the diamond pattern which is a pity as the pattern profile is better than most otheres i have seen. The second heater penertration is separate rather than having the fuse box cutout made bigger to accomodate this. very reasonably priced too.

Hi, I recently purchased my RHD diamond-pattern firewall padding from 'Vintage Euro Parts'. It's for my project car so it wont be installed for quite a long while yet but it looks OK in the flesh. Hope this is the correct link
