Like many other Mercedes of the era, my indicator lever has started not holding its upper position. This is due to a cavity wearing inside the mechanism and can be addressed by reshaping it. I am however wondering at what mileage this starts occurring, to help me cross-check what I think is the car's original mileage of now 80.000 miles. I realize it may vary a lot depending if the car is used mainly in town or on highways. But like the brake pedal and driver's seat wear, it could be used as a rough indicator of mileage, and help us identify if what the odometer is showing is accurate or if the car has gone through a 100.000 miles revolution already.
