New Board of Directors
« on: January 04, 2015, 14:50:48 »
Greetings All!  2015 Begins the first full year of our Club under the new bylaws and as a tax-exempt corporation.  Elections were held in November and on January 2, 2015 (3 Jan in Australia) The new Board of Directors met via Skype.  The state of our Club is strong.  We encourage all of you to reach out to your new Board with your suggestions or questions for the continued improvement of your membership enjoyment.

The new officers are:
President: Ray Hays
Vice President and Membership Director: Garry Marks
Treasurer: Mike Mizesko
Secretary: Chuck Taylor
Regional Director: Stan Popow

At Large Board members are:
Achim Ahlert
Waqas Akram
Rolf-Dieter Solga

The terms of the Board of Directors are now staggered and we will be holding elections each November for 3 seats.  Please know that you all have the opportunity to contribute and we invite your involvement.

Please join me in thanking the founders of this group, Cees Klumper and Tom Sargent, and our out-going President Peter Van Es, for making this the best forum on the world wide web.  Likewise, a huge thanks to former Treasurer Alfred Esser and all of the other Board members who, over the past decade, have given their time to make this community the success it is.  Without their foresight and well-measured guidance, you would not have the benefit of this forum and our events.

Congratulations to the new Board members. I wish them all the success and wisdom in guiding the Group through the next phase of its existence.

I would also take this opportunity to remind all members, Full or Associate, to also see how you could contribute to the Group, to further the knowledge and ensure the long term survival of the Pagoda SL cars. Why not organize a local event or get-together, write an article for Pagoda Notes or Pagoda World, or to add some knowledge or experience to the Technical Manual? Or invite other owners of Pagoda's to come and join us?

Point out that we are not just a technical resource, but that there's lots of fun and camaraderie to be had on this forum!
