Question on replacing fuel pump
« on: January 24, 2015, 14:01:11 »
I am planning  to replace fuel pump on 1968 280SL, currently it has the Early (tall) electric fuel pump.

1) Is it possible to replace with the later (short style) fuel?
2) Are there any modification needed?
3) Are there any difference in performance?

Thanks

You must use the mounting bracket for the later fuel pump. I think they are available from MB.

This display shows the parts that you need to convert to the short pump:
