What is this plastic car part?
« on: February 11, 2015, 07:40:51 »
Dear all-

When I purchased my 280 the following plastic part was lying loose in the boot.

Does anyone know what it is?

It looks like some sort of cover. It has holes around the edge to allow it to be screwed down.

cheers

Hi, Mark,

RHD car?

I believe it is the throttle kick plate. Fits in the bottom right corner of the front footwell.

Yes - RHD

Thanks Naj.

So it goes over the carpet (to protect it from excessive wear from the right foot) or instead of carpet?

Hi, Mark,

Yes, over the carpet as in the picture.
The picture is from a very original unmolested car.
Sadly, mine does not have it  :'(
