Rudy,

I've been to this show in Paris the last two years.  Unfortunately, I will miss it this year.  I found the show quite interesting as there is quite a bit of focus on French marques as expected and I love the funky French Classics.   There was a good variety of other marques and some of the German Restoration Shops have been there showing off their Gullwings & Pagodas.

They usually have a very nice exhibition of cars as well -- last year they exhibited "cars of the Maharajas" and these were very nice to see -- including the wild "swan" car.

The "Spark-Plug" man will probably be there demonstrating a gadget you put on the ignition and it will fire when wet and in almost any condition --- he sells quite a few of these ---  not to be missed just for the spectacle of it.  Quite a few vendors selling lots of chrome parts.  I made a big purchase of some Becker radio knobs!

They usually hold a car auction as well on one of the days --- the auction was quite fun.

Arrive early if you will attend on a weekend as it get really packed.    Enjoy.

I didn't attend in many years as I am abroad, but it's a nice show. This year there will be some focus on the Citroen DS as it came out 60 years ago.

Just discovered this thread.
I was there with my daughter and we enjoyed enjoyed it very much. Many MB 300 SL in all versions as well as 190 SL Only one Pagoda in good ut bot perfect conditions. I will post some longer impressions later.

BTW, during the same time (on Wednesday evening) there was an auction organised by RM auctions. Great venue at the yard of the Invalides Palace. Only one Pagoda, fully restored to a seemingly perfect conditions (I spotted a few flaws... usual deviation of ours, I guess :)). She went for 120 000 Euro.

Hi Stan,

What amazed me was the sale of the barn find Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider, for 16.3M € must have been the highest bid ever for a car, Im thinking ... then I might be wrong,

Hi Rolf,

The price is obviously impressive, but this still quite far from US$34,650,000.00 (38,115,000.00 including buyers premium) that was paid for a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO sold at Bonham's Quail Auction in August 2014.
It broke the record previously held by a 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196R that sold for US$30 million at an auction in England in 2013.

So, there is still some upside for our Pagodas ;)
