Someone brought a trailer
« on: April 23, 2015, 14:27:41 »
I saw a metallic burgundy 280 this afternoon, turning off the West Cross Route and going up Holland Park Avenue. HNP6**J - so registered after 1 August 1970
RHD with Hardtop on but unlike most classics in Holland Park, this one was on the back of a breakdown truck and has clearly been nowhere under it's own steam for years. Offisde wheelarches were shot with rust, much trim missing so it's ether about to be broken OR restored (hopefully the latter) but central London - especially the Kensington and Chelsea bit of it - is not the obvious place to strip and restore a late 280

Seems it was registered on 1 October 1970, and has not had a valid tax disc/MOT since Oct 2012. (Gawdbless the DVLA!)
