Two Pagodas on the Walleye 1000 Vintage Rally this year...

The is an event that I plan and put on each year... this was the 4th annual. 2 days, this year we had 31 cars (must be 20 years old or older), 60 people, 400+ miles over great back roads along the Mississippi River in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Here are a couple of Pagoda pics... Cars ranged from a 1995 BMW 840ci on the new end to a 1960 Borgward Isabella Coupe. Other interesting cars included a 1965 Jensen C-V9 MKII, a couple of Porsche 356s, a gorgeous 300SEL 6.3, an authentic, modified in period and documented 1984 500SEC AMG coupe, Jag XKE, and lots of other cool stuff. Hi Urban,

This event has grown up quite a bit in the past couple of years. I limit entries to 30 as more than that gets difficult to manage in terms of restaurants in the tiny towns we stop in, hotel reservations, etc. There was a waiting list of people who didn't get to go this year.

You can visit www.walleye1000.com to submit your email and you will be added to the email list. I usually send an email out in October or November for the next year's event, this year, it was sold out by the beginning of March.

It's a lot of fun, a great mix of cars, great mix of people... with an emphasis on the fact that an MG midget with rusty floors and a fender in primer is as welcome as the 300SL Gullwing that was just completely restored. You can read all about the event on the website.

It was a great event. Wonderfull drive thru SW Wisconsin.

Great food and camaraderie among all the drivers.

 Dave was a excellent event planer and host
