torque setting for flex mounths
« on: July 22, 2015, 21:23:40 »
Gentlemen.

I am looking for torque settings for these left and right 4 bolt plates that hold the front flex subframe months to the body of the car. I imagine that they are pretty important, because they are essential to keep the subframe in place. That' s why I am so surprised that I can not find any torque settings. Does anybody know please?

Thanks!

Jan

Since these are 8.8 grade 8mm bolts, I would say somewhere around 15-17 ft/lb of 20-23Nm.

Be careful not to over-tighten them as the welded nuts on the mounts may strip. Then you are left with replacing the mount or adding a nut from underneath with poor accessibility.
