rear axle failure
« on: September 10, 2015, 13:48:12 »
My 280 SL stopped out on the road. The sliding flexible joint MB part number 1123500213 has failed. This part is no longer made by MB. So far all attempts have failed to find a used part or even a complete axle. I was told that all MB cars from that period had the same axle configuration so perhaps a part from another mode would also work. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am in the UK but a part from any source would be OK. So far all the breaker yards in the UK specializing in MB do not have anything for a car of that period.

Most likely I have these, if you cannot fine one closer. Post a picture of each end so we can match-up the splines.  There are a lot of different versions.
