help on hole in 280SE engine bay
« on: November 19, 2015, 02:02:47 »
Hi, I am cleaning up behind the brake vacuum booster on my RHD car.  Can anyone tell me if the hole that the arrow points to, in the attached photo should be sealed with a rubber bung or blind grommet plse. If not what is it for plse?

I believe it is just a rubber buffer to prevent the larger size brake servo from touching the body.

Not bad James, how are you doing ? You were living somewhere in Europe at one point right ?
Anyway I trust you are keeping well and glad to hear from you. I lurk around here occasionally but dont get to post an awful lot. I run my small Mercedes Repair/Restoration facility here in Dublin now which has kept me so busy I hardly have time to talk about it. Anyway hope you are well !
