engine coolant drain plug
« on: October 18, 2004, 11:43:09 »
Hi all,

I know the engine drain plug is supposed to be right by the starter motor. I have a 127 engine and - unless I am blind - cannot find anything there. However, there is a plug on the other side of the engine (inbetween oil filter and injection pump, but lower) which looks like it might be the ticket. Can somebody please confirm?

Thanks,

Juergen

The engine water drain plug is on the right side of the engine below the exhaust shield. It is still availible.

There is a drain plug on the right side hiding behind the exhausts. 22mm head. Should be able to find it by putting you hand behind the exhaust manifolds from the front of the engine behind the alternator. Will need new sealing ring.
It took me nearly three weeks to get the (17mm allen hex) plug off on the left of the engine. Had to drill it out in the end!  That was for fitting an oil cooler adapter!!
