What is the general consensus on the use of a storage bag to protect a car from humidity - rust, mould, corrosion etc. Does this technology work?  Looking for a proven product.  thanks.

I understand they work well. A friend with a very nice 280 SL used one for years. I think it was a "Carcoon" or something like that.

I think the main culprits are humidity, mould & rodents. My restoration guy tells me modern paint can take being in an unheated garage just fine.

Agree with Douglas that it is humidity or damp that is the biggest problem.
If you are out in the country then mice can be a problem, I have a cat flap in my garage door and that has cured the problem in that department (wondered why the cat was getting fat!)

THe "Carcoon" is a good product from what I have heard, but expensive here in the UK. You need an electricity supply too.

Alternative:
If your garage is dry anyway is to put in a commercial de-humidifier

Good luck
