WOW! If this car is worth $30,000 plus as it sits, what would it cost to restore?

Makes sense  to me now why I was offered what I thought was a high number for mine right right after I bought it.

Living in Ohio, where this car lives, has me thinking that the rust "goes deeper" than described.

Buying that car for that price would be like pouncing yourself with a sharp stick in the eye. The pictures and the sellers description in my opinion are evasive and reserve is not met.

I would look elsewhere.

This car was stored in a wet location. Notice the drip stain on the drivers door. The fogged up center gauge cluster. Extreme rust on the bumpers. The rustsicle underneath. Yes that is Mold on the seats. Imagine what the hidden un-painted components look like.  :o

When I made my research for the car I found I spend time (many hours) on this site here. The one thing that sticks out amount all the other good tips etc. is this that someone posted.

He said as I recall ... "Get the best you can afford and go from there"

I'm glad I followed his advice.

I'm a little late on this one.  This is 20 minutes from where I live, and have never seen it around.  Just when you think you know all the Pagodas in your area some thing always seems to "pop out of the woodwork" Says it sold.

It's bid up to $39K

Triple black is desirable....

Professional restorer/dealer could probably tackle this easier than most

Sheetmetal, paint, re-chromed parts, seat-carpet-wood-top kits an major service/hoses/clamps and this will be back for sale for 50% more, unfortunately

Price of entry of 113 is what it is

This may be on a container to germany in 24hrs and they will be happy to fix & flip

Car is late model, complete from 2 tops to even radio; an inspection with tools  and test drive will tell you 85% of what's what.

Underneath looks better than the shined up white car in another post; rusty bumpers are not end of the world...

Paint and Sheetmetal repair is not rocket science; strip, jig, cut, weld & spray.

From a dealers perspective spending $40K and $15k to repaint/re-chrome/re-kit interior /top (wholesale parts/labor) of a desirable colored car makes more sense than buying a shiny, clean generic colored but tired car for $55K +$5K to prep/floorspace which will languish and not sell for $75K.

The unsold members white car @$36K bid v. sale of this $39K is market speaking ....

This is a way better starting point. At 34k and reserve has been met!  11 hours left on auction. It has a few owner mods but nothing too major. Looks solid.

   I've seen worse. This may be a rough diamond rather than a diamond in the rough. This may seem like the same condition but trust me, it's not.
