I have just finished restoring this Euro spec 280sl.  It turned out to be a really solid car in need of a good cosmetic resto..

Congrats.  Was surprised to see it RED as I remember you just recently repainted your car ivory --- then realized this is a different SL and not the ivory one ... I think.

Nice to see --- agree with Ifty -- time to enjoy.

Hi

Indeed this a different car and I still own the ivory one. I purchased this as an opportunity  to restore a car to a very high standard and perhaps sell on for a small profit. More for a hobby / pastime.

In the event, the car is now too pristine to actually drive.

What is great about it is that it is a never rusted all original panel Italian car and a manual. This makes it a little rarer than the usual US car converted to Euro spec (like my ivory car) or the rusty euro cars that have required large restorations.
